Feedback: Select student-generated points from Clues chart to explore
Recognition: Make chart with random 'mystery x's for days in the week
Have entire class complete Happy Notes, coupled with Class Rewards chart,
and inform parents of 'apples to go' on Weekly calendar (ex: as of 9/23, we
have 8 apples to go!)
Cooperative Learning: Include grouping children by birthdays, pets, special interests
Homework: Provide a more detailed explanation to parents of homework
procedures/objectives in addition to the brochure
Technology: Explore and use the Smartboard websites and develop the charts from
Inspirations and Kidspirations, get copies of programs from PSU
Divide the students' journal into sections so they can more easily reflect and see their own related responses to a topic. I will still see the change over time.
Put rubric stickers 1-2-3-4 on each cubby door and move an arrow magnet so children are reminded of their ranking, and be prompted to improve for individual and class recognition.
