  • It's interesting that if goals are set, students will tend to focus on them and then not attend to other ideas that may arise.
  • Setting personal goals sound like wonderings.
  • Setting goals can make the lessons relevant to students' lives through personalization.
  • Students love choice, but offering choice can be scary for teachers because of external pressures that create inflexible structures regarding learning.
  • Design lessons etc. for the 95% who do it right and deal with the 5% who abuse the system.
