Cooperative groups are easy to establish as there is (most often) a mix of abilities at each table. Seeing the research results gives support and confidence to my choices, and also provides solid evidence to parents for my decisions. In fact, when we were asked to make the sketch of what cooperative learning looks like, I realized how little I actually know about it. What I took away from today's class, though in addition to all the research-based strategies on cooperative learning, is the idea that sharing ideas and disucssion with colleagues is so informative, meaningful, and fun. This class makes me want to get back in the classroom and teach again!
